ECDO’s Activities

Since ECDO’s creation in 2002, ECDO has undertaken a constant process of consultation with indigenous community leaders, and has tried to design and deliver programmes which can meet the fundamental needs of the indigenous people, and address some of their biggest problems.
ECDO recognises that its mission and vision is extremely ambitious and will take a long time and a great deal of cooperation from all stakeholders to achieve. But ECDO also believes that development is a continuous cycle, and the most important work ECDO can do is to help its beneficiaries to participate in that cycle for themselves, and ensure that they stay on it.
ECDO’s strong links with the indigenous people ensures a constant monitoring and evaluation process so that every program and activity can be designed and tuned to specific needs and situations. ECDO’s programs have been formulated with the full participation of the beneficiaries, and most follow a rights-based approach.
